Bio
Elliott LaPoint was born in Rochester, New York, in 1994. He has earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Summa Cum Laude degree at State University of New York at Brockport (SUNY Brockport) for Art, Major Concentration in Graphic Design. In 2016, he earned an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree with distinction at Monroe Community College (MCC) for Graphic Design.
His work has been published in newspapers, anthology comics, and on a literary magazine. Two of his works “Psychedelic Ben,” and “Stone Human,” were both published in the literary magazine Cabbages and Kings, which was an issue he helped design as part of the editorial board in 2016. Since 2015, he has submitted one-page anthology comics that get published in the Monroe Community Comics Anthology. During his previous job as the editorial cartoonist for the SUNY Brockport newspaper, The Stylus, where he published editorial cartoons, as well as a series of comic strips that he based on the college’s mascot, Ellsworth Eagle, from 2017 to 2018. Before he became the editorial cartoonist for The Stylus, he worked as a Student Aide at MCC from 2015 to 2016, where he assisted fellow students in a Macintosh computer lab with issues regarding Adobe programs, or any issues involving graphic design assignments.
